Technical Support Technician – Montreal Region

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Director of Service, the technician will provide support to our customers by phone and onsite.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Opening and closing work orders (service call related) in Salesforce
• Answer incoming calls related to technical issues and solve those issues
• Addressing returns to suppliers
• Perform other related duties as required by the department and the company
Skills:
• Strong customer service approach
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Team spirit and integrity
• Detail oriented
Requirements:
• 2 to 5 years of pertinent experience
• Bilingual fluent in English and French written and spoken
• General knowledge of Plasma & LED televisions, projectors, Switches and many other A/V products
• General knowledge in networking (IP, Protocol, TCP / IP, H.323, Linux)
• Knowledge of all aspects of IT systems implementation, configuration and documentation, including updates, backups, security procedures, the use of policies, training and technical support
• Knowledge of video conferencing a plus. (Cisco, Tandberg, Polycom)
• College degree or degree from recognized Canadian training facility
• Must pass criminal record background check
• Cisco Certification (CTC, CCNA, CCNA-Video) an important asset
• Valid driver’s license (class 5), candidate must have an automobile
