Improving communication through videoconferencing, a CBCI Success story
By Gali Jennewein - Senior Account Manager, Toronto
reporting for Gary Beaucaire - Senior Account manager, Ottawa

A large publicly owned printing company headquartered in Ottawa was looking for a better way to improve their internal communication and build stronger relationships with their clients. The company has plants and offices in 9 other locations and employs over 1,000 people worldwide.

Challenge:

The organization’s main challenge was to bring products to market quicker, build stronger customer relationships and improve cross-functional coordination. Reducing travel time, expenses and optimizing resource allocation was also a huge concern. The company was looking for a solution that would not only streamline the management of existing customers and shorten product development cycles, but would also increase productivity and make internal communication easier for dispersed teams.

Solution:

CBCI Telecom fully designed and integrated the company’s corporate executive boardroom. The boardroom featured a complete videoconferencing, audio and presentation solutions which allowed participants to connect to several project teams at the same time, improving communication, collaboration and enhancing information flow.

Result:
  • Real-time, interactive discussions identify problems earlier, ensuring coordinated strategies and expedited decision-making
  • Products are brought to market sooner, resulting in market differentiation and earlier revenue realization
  • Build stronger relationships with clients by seeing them face to face
  • Training or new product launches reach a wider audience, independent of geographical location
  • “Time is money”, video helps reduce the travel time and travel expenses related to attending a meeting
  • Reduced CO2-emissions. Environmental and safer option
The business world is growing increasingly virtual, with employees scattered around the globe, yet still needing to collaborate with one another as well as with partners, suppliers and customers. Videoconferencing can help bridge the gap and make employees more productive by allowing people to meet face to face, without having to travel or be physically based in the same place.
