January 2009 Edition
Welcome to 2009
Jeff Speak, President CBCI Telecom

First of all, I would like to thank each of you for your support to CBCI Telecom this year. It is because of your patronage that we are able to continue to offer you state of the art technology, backed by CBCI services.

As we look forward to 2009, the overriding challenge that we will all face is the unprecedented economic times that we find ourselves in. We at CBCI understand this, and our staff will be ready more then ever as your videoconferencing partner. It will become more important to ensure that your IT projects deliver a superior ROI as your overall IT budgets may becoming under pressure. This is why it is a perfect time to consider videoconferencing as a strategic tool which will enable your organization to reduce your travel expenses in a time where we must do more with less. Videoconferencing has come down significantly in costs and end users are finding returns to be in less than 12 months. By only reducing 20% of discretionary travel, enterprises and government are delivering quantifiable cost savings to the bottom line.

Videoconferencing will not only enable your company to be more profitable, but will also allow your organization to achieve some of your strategic Green objectives. Have you ever calculated your CO2 emission reductions form eliminating only 20% of your travel? The timing is perfect to save money and reduce your carbon footprint simultaneously.

The evolution of videoconferencing technology today presents an opportunity to take advantage of intelligent IP networks, HD technology and video at the desktop. This affordable technology will have a transformational impact on the way you do business, communicate with your employees, customers and supply chain. Bring products and services to market quicker than your competition.

So how do you take advantage of this technology without tapping into your existing IT resources? The answer is simple; CBCI Managed Services. CBCI will be your partner form A to Z and will manage your deployment, training and ongoing management of your tailor-made videoconferencing network. CBCI has invested in the required network infrastructure, so that you don’t have to. To understand more, please call your CBCI sales representative today to help you better understand the benefits of a fully managed video network.

On behalf of the CBCI Family, let me take this opportunity to wish you and your family health, happiness & prosperity for 2009.

- Jeff Speak

GTEC SHOW: Recap
Robert Aubry, Director of Sales, Ottawa office

CBCI telecom participated in the recent Government Technology Event Showcase this past October. The Westin Hotel in Ottawa housed the entire 2008 GTEC showcase. It was a great venue for CBCI Telecom to show off our expertise in Video and AV.

CBCI Telecom shared a booth with Longpen and we had lots of interest in our AV/Video capabilities from many departments of the Federal Government of Canada. We also demonstrated our capabilities by setting up a demonstration Suite with other Government technical leaders. This allowed us to show off our Tandberg, Sanyo, Librestream and InfoSign Media products to interested Federal Government Technologists.

It was a great opportunity to network and make Federal Government participants aware of our products and services. We look forward to participating again in 2009 and hope to see you there as we display our offerings to the GTEC community.
