January 2009 Edition
Welcome to 2009
Jeff Speak, President CBCI Telecom

First of all, I would like to thank each of you for your support to CBCI Telecom this year. It is because of your patronage that we are able to continue to offer you state of the art mobile technology, backed by CBCI services.

As we look forward to 2009, the overriding challenge that we will all face is the unprecedented economic times that we find ourselves in. We at CBCI understand this, and our staff will be ready more then ever as your mobile telecom partner. Each of you may experience tighter IT budgets from which you may have to work with. This provides you with an opportunity to focus on improving productivity for your employees, by enabling each of them to do more with new mobile smart phones. These new devices will deliver the opportunity of connecting your office to their device remotely, allowing them to be on the road, while staying closer to your customers.

And speaking of new and exciting smart phones, Bell has just recently announced the Blackberry Storm which is RIMs’ newest product that introduces an exciting tactile screen which will enable users’ greater multimedia capability. The early feedback out of the United States is very good, but as any new product, it is important that your users try it out before you do a mass rollout. Your CBCI sales representatives will have demo units that will enable you to determine if the functionality and user interface is what you are looking for.

Another important trend for you to consider for 2009 is to look at implementing an ability to track your mobile assets. Are you properly utilizing your assets and do you know where they are and who is using them. Are they on the correct rate plan? Effective mobile asset management can save your company thousands of dollars. If this is of interest to you, please contact your CBCI representative who will organize a demo of Telemanager, Etelesolv’s leading telecom asset management solution.

On behalf of the CBCI Family, let me take this opportunity to wish you and your family health, happiness & prosperity for 2009.

- Jeff Speak
